In a blog:

"That NATO pilots little understand of international psychology is demonstrated by the fact, that they are often heavily beaten up in the Lithuanian town of Siauliai on the search for female contacts.
in the context of the Ukraine crisis now also American soldiers appear there and similar threatening has led the Lithuanian President Gribauskaite to ask the population, especially the young men, to spare them, and so not to harm the reputation of Lithuania."

Ventspils - Latvia

VENTSPILS, May 13 - Ventspils Mayor Aivars Lembergs (For Latvia and Ventspils) is planning a letter to NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen to complain about the unacceptable conduct of NATO sailors in Ventspils last weekend that, he believes, discredits NATO in the eyes of the local populace, Lembergs told LETA.

During a visit to Ventspils by a number of NATO and European Union ships last weekend, twice as many persons were fined for disturbing the peace than during the last Ventspils Festival when the total number of guests of the city was 150 times higher.

"NATO sailors were acting like swine, ignoring the laws of Latvia and the regulations of Ventspils. They got drunk and urinated on window showcases, threw up, consumed alcoholic beverages in public places, which is prohibited," said Lembergs.

Reminded about a NATO sailor who was severely beaten up in Ventspils last weekend, Lembergs said that "it must have been locals, protecting women from the sailors."
Tomorrow, Lembergs will send a letter to Rasmussen, Latvian Defense Ministry and Foreign Ministry, noting that such conduct by foreign Navy personnel and damaging to NATO reputation.

This is not the first time Lembergs speaks disapprovingly of NATO presence in Latvia. For instance, he ironically said: "This would be in Ventspils' interest. We will have 1,000 NATO soldiers and the number of prostitutes will rise rapidly, to the benefit of cafes, restaurants and prostitutes."

As reported, navy sailors participating in the "Open Spirit 2014" international minesweeping exercise were involved in several incidents in Ventspils over the weekend; one from the Netherlands had particularly bad luck - he is currently in Northern Kurzeme Regional Hospital's intensive care unit with a serious head injury.

The man, 21, was taken to the hospital by ambulance early Sunday morning. He suffered a serious head injury, several fractures and cerebral edema, LETA learned from the hospital. The young man was unconscious and was placed in the hospital's intensive care unit, his condition is currently listed as stable, said the hospital's deputy chief Olafs Kengis.

American sailors who were stationed at Darwin, Australia also caused trouble there because of their behaviour as well. For some reason the US military attracts many obnoxious and arrogant people.

It is no secret that Lithuania gave refuge to some courageous fellows from NATO in Šiauliai, whose job it was to patrol the airspaces of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. On the very next day after the guys from NATO appeared, the hospitable people of Šiauliai, evidently in celebration, attacked them and beat them up. The blood of those injured ran into Lithuanian soil. One can therefore justifiably argue that the integration of Lithuania and NATO is a friendship sealed with blood.

The attack on NATO troops was not an isolated incident. Similar attacks are repeated periodically on all European members of the alliance, who also swap duty periodically. Ethnic Lithuanians have beaten up visiting NATO soldiers – from Belgium, Denmark, Britain and others – more than once… A short anecdote has even been written on the reasons why and the ratio of those attacking and those attacked in Lithuania: «Why did you attack first?» an officer asks a dozen NATO soldiers who had been beaten up by three Lithuanians during the night. The NATO soldiers reply: «We thought there were only two of them, but then a third one suddenly appeared».

According to a statement by Lithuania’s Police Commissioner General Vytautas Grigaravicius, attacks on NATO soldiers «are one of the consequences of alcohol consumption», which in comparison to Western prices costs practically nothing in today’s Lithuania. However, the problems being faced by NATO while guarding the Baltic skies is not just limited to attacks and an excessive amount of cheap alcohol. In Lithuania, where the population is falling dramatically following the collapse of the USSR but prostitution is becoming a legal «business», they are also experiencing severe discrimination from local ladies of the night. The same Police Commissioner General complained to journalists that Lithuanian prostitutes were selling themselves to NATO soldiers at an inflated rate of more than three times as much. This is obviously pure discrimination, bearing in mind that the list of services being offered by the prostitutes remains the same.

Australian military has a lot of these types too.

I think any rigidly organised military develops these symptoms. The harder you push your soldiers and the more harshly you criticise their skills, the more extreme their "outlet" needs to be in off time.

Pilots are usually short and super arrogant, no one will weep.

Nah, basically pilots are very pampered so they act like spoiled brats.
