do you think anti-semitism and anti-ciganism are similar phenomenons or do you think they are very different and is the one more deserved then the other. thats what i read, that anti-semitism is based on lies and conspiracies but anti-ciganism on bad behaviour of gypsies which is the reality and truth.

also what do you think which is more mainstream and widespread nowadays.

also is there anti-ciganism among jews, in israel or elsewhere etc.

Nope, Jews and Gypsies historically had good relations. Plenty of links between the two peoples.

I agree, both are mostly deserved and only somewhat undeserved hatreds.

Both are based on truth. Though I have no personal experience to confirm, many/most Europeans tend to dislike gypsies because of their criminal and anti-social behavior, like stealing things and scamming people (worse and far stranger things too). People hate Jews partly because of the atrocious ideologies that have been inflicted on civilization by them, as well as their ruining of economies and governments.

In many ways the whole Victorian romantic movement, with its seances and fashion was gypsy inspired;

The romanticism with Romania, Gypsies, Dracula etc continues until today in popular culture and mainstream gothic music, television and movies such as Penny Dreadful

That's in western Europe. People in western Europe don't even know what real gypsies look like. I think I watched some movie where Brad Pitt was playing a gypsy and his Gypsy gang looked British rather than south Asian.

That's because he was playing an Irish traveller not a gypsy. It is confusing to non-Brits because they're often referred to as gypsies.
