No Albanians are not lighter but Albanians from Kosovo are lighter, even Albanians from Macedonia are lighter, they live more to the north so it's natural, Albanians from South Albania are darker then Macedonians.

Well Albanians from Kosovo and North Albania are a bit more whiter than Macedonians while tosk albanians are more darker than macedonians

When I was in Skopje it was not easy to tell who is albanian or macedonian until you hear them talking .

Interesting that different regions of Albanians differ in 'whiteness'. I think there is also a stereotype of Macedonians in the north being lighter than those in the south or east, but I'm not sure how true this is. We are quite mixed all over the place, even amongst own family members. Dinarid-Med types are the most common however amongst Macedonians, with Nordicism being a minority.

I have never been to either Albania or Macedonia (passed few times on road to Greece) according to two last requiments i would easily make my judgment but first one is important as well since there are Catholic Albos as well.

Bulgarians from western Bulgaria are lighter on average than Bulgarian from eastern Bulgaria, I do not know about pigmentation of Bulgarians from Rodopi and Pomaks.
