Watched this documentary about Japanese history. Found it well made and interesting, albeit from a Western POV. I was hoping it would start at an earlier period of Japanese history but it really just documents the medieval period where Japan comes into contact with the West.

Holy crap nearly 3 hours! I'm finna have to get some popcorn and skittles first. Hey I can never get enough on this history and I sure do have a lot to learn about Japan. At least I know that, unlike what seems to be an unrelenting wave of amateur Asian "historians." Lol.

Japan was always, in my opinion, the final depository of the better thing the oriental culture produced.
