Those are artist renderings from way later on. There are no contemporary portraits of him like there are of Scanderbeg.

The 2nd picture is based on a statue done for him in early 16th century.

Mostly Pontid with Dinaric and perhaps Alpine influence. He is one of my ancestors.

Purely Dinarid-CM, I have heard he was above 2m.

He belonged to the oldest and strongest Albanian medieval families, they lived in highlands over 1500m where no foreigner had ever been able to step in, marking Dukagjin as the perfect fortress in order to fight Slavs and Ottomans that had taken over the fields below.

Dukagjin is still home of the free, lawless pure Albanians who refuse to bend over to Slavs or foreign occupiers, organized through history in the historical 4 clans- Shala, Shoshi, Shllaku and Temali
