It's very hard to lose weight with exercise alone, and you'd lose probably 50%-50% muscle and fat. The only way to lose weight (fat) is caloric deficit and moderate exercise.

Very simple, do not eat much. What is difficult?
Fewer calories? Less weight. A very simple thing.
Sports no matter for the weight, with a small snack you return all the calories you was burned while you run.
Eat less, fewer high-calorie foods, vegetables, drink plenty of water
try find other things to deal with and not to think all day aboth food.

Everyone overcomplicates weight loss, it's as simple as CICO (calories in calories out). Doesn't matter what calories they are or where they come from, so long as you're eating fewer calories than your body requires for your age/weight/activity level you will lose weight
