She was of Campanian background I think?

I think she looks like Maria Callas.

I think she can pass in the entire southern Europe, but her type probably fits Italy and Greece best.

I agree. Anne Bancroft looks very South Italian to me, almost textbook, which makes sense because that is what she is! I would say Alpine-Med.

I always thought Anne Bancroft was underrated in the looks department.
