http://jeannatividad.files.wordpress.com/2011/03/ice-cream-turon.jpg
this is actually made of 'Saba' banana which you can fry, just roll the banana in brown sugar
or sometimes they usually add langka or sweet jackfruit on it and wrap it using the spring roll wrapper. then just add ice cream while you eat it cause it taste more good and it has good presentation as well just add some caramel syrup :)

Definitely. I think that's why Filipinos have the most diverse and best desserts amongst Asian cuisines, because of the Hispanic and Western influences. Many other Asian cultures don't traditionally eat a lot of desserts, Chinese desserts on the whole suck.
Anyways, what is the Patupat and the Tupig Simple? I don't think Ive seen those before.

Yes, that's why I place Filipinos in the Hispanic category. They are Hispanized/Hispanicized. I immediately saw the Spanish and Latin American influences in the desserts when they posted them, also the names of the desserts too. I know in Filipino cooking there is this influence also.
Chinese desserts do suck. But that's ok, you guys make up for it plenty enough with your cooking, which is fabulous. What do you think of Spanish food?

I don't trust this. They probably took an irrepresentative sample. I've been to Philippines and Malaysia. Philippines has far more fat people. It seems like 1 in 3 is overweight, which would make Filipinos the fattest Asian. There are only a few OBESE Filipinos, but it seems like overweight Filipinos are normal.
