Despite being from the "black" city of Salvador, Bahia, and to sing Black Brazilian music, both her parents are of European origin. Her father is a Portuguese immigrant from Braga, Northern Portugal, while her mother is Italian (mother from Marche and father from Genova).
She's openly gay.
