Proud parents Prince Félix and Princess Claire on Monday released the first pictures of their newborn daughter Princess Amalia.
The baby girl was born at the Grande-Duchesse Charlotte maternity clinic in Luxembourg City on Sunday - the first child of Félix and Claire who married in September last year.
The palace on Sunday said that the new member of the royal family is called Amalia Gabriela Maria Teresa, with her middle names those of both her grandmothers.
She weighed 2,950 grammes and measured 50 centimetres at birth. Prince Félix was said to have been at the side of his wife in the delivery room.
Princess Amalia is the first granddaughter of Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa and joins her cousins Prince Gabriel and Prince Noah, the sons of Prince Louis and Princess Tessy.
