interestingly, he's from North-Central Iran (karaj) near the Alborz mountain range.

As I thought, my instinct usually doesn't fool me. People tend to judge to quickly when they say he looks Pakistani mixed soley based on his atypical dark skin color. But his facial features are strictly Iranid, even Robust Iranid which is more common in North Iran.
