And I don't completely disagree with you. She has some evident gracile mediterranean (west-med) influence, because unlike many Northern Europeans (whose features are in many cases shaped and squared), she has a very smooth jaw and smooth features in general. But she also has an evident Atlantid influence, and some Alpine, as well. And the combination of West med, Atlantid and some Alpinid is very common in Spaniards and Portuguese.

For all of that, she looks more Iberian than anything else.:thumb001:

Rodríguez is clearly Castilian, but Salas could just be Catalan too. Even if in Standard Catalan the correct spelling should be Sales, it was also written as Salas in pre-standard Catalan, since a and e represent the same sound in unstressed syllables. The only possible way to know it for certain here would be to know where his father's lineage comes from.

The thing is, most people associate Mediterranean with olive skin. The fact that your butt is just as pale as a Pole's is irrelevant, what matters is that your Med's mug look tanned in that mid-August travel guide. It's just logical. Otherwise who would travel South to get tanned? Can you imagine a brochure about Polynesia with pictures of old whites living there instead of cuties with flowers on their breasts? Who would go there? :cool:

IMO she looks very archetypically Spanish, feature-wise, pigmentation-wise and everything. Indeed, she is a better representation of how average Iberian women look like, NOT Penelope Cruz.

And just to mention: The state of New Mexico, but more particularly in its northern part (including Santa Fe and Albuquerque) and some southern counties of Colorado's state, are full of people with a lot of, or even almost fully Spanish ancestry (though many of them have a slight degree of Amerindian admixture).
