Geno 2.0 seems less expensive. But is it also less accurate?
I'm R1b (U-152) in 23andMe but i'd like to know more about things like my subclade or a possible close ancestry with other peoples.
thanks!

very interested in Most recent common ancestor. Geno 2.0 is good for this type of researches?

Hi

I am U152 too and think you asked a very good question. I have done both. Geno brings in a few no calls for U152s unfortunately. Especially Z56. If it were me I would order BritainsDNA Chromo2 test. OR perhaps ask Thomas Krahn at yseq.com what deep test they could offer you. I know they just brought out a L21 deep test, but L21 is very widespread.

I was U152* but am now S20550 as a 60/67 did BigY and I tested + at yseq :)

37 STRs at FTDNA would be a good starter with possibly Chromo2 test for your SNPs.

Another possibility is do the 37 and also order STR Z192 to see if you are 14. If you are then order Z56. Downside is each SNP is $39 so could work out expensive in the long run.

This would give you most knowledge for your money. You could always upgrade to 67/111 later when you have close matches!
