What to you is it?

Can you people post your genetic ancestry maps who do have a pure result?

Considering that Middle East / North Africa count as "European" on 23andMe, being "100% European" there is a bit of a sham. Not to mention their calculators are weak.

Mailing your genome to Doug McDonald or submitting it to GEDMatch and getting a clean bill of health makes you 100% white. But of course, the concept of Europe and the borders between Europe, Africa and Asia are man-made, so there's no such thing as a "100% European" anyway.

Per definition a pure euro is someone of 100% european genetic heritage, for practical matters you can't be so dogmatic about genetics though.

They separated them now.

I've seen a lot of people with 99.9% Euro showing up. I think such a small amount could likely be "noise".

I'd say more than 99% European personally.

What is considered "noise" though? Does that mean ancient lineages that are still not Euro but aren't enough to make you not full Euro? I don't get it. Does noise qualify as still full euro or no?

Because these population definitions are just guesses, based on people today. Often on various calculators you will come up part "native american" or "nilotic" even though you are obviously pure euro. It turns out in those cases, it's due to some euro input or common ancestral input that is more common in those people than in europe.

There's no way to really tell what is a sub saharan gene and what's a north african gene and what is a middle east gene without finding ancient DNA that has it. So it's mostly guesswork and can't be seen as 100% accurate because these groups mix in all directions and the real ancient groups we don't have much direct DNA for.

Okay thank god because I don't want to think 0.1 or 0.2% is actually black. Oh god oh god I'd die

lol, even it it was .2% it would probably be something like dna related to calcium uptake or some other stupid crap.

Heres my 23andme results if your interested at taking a look. Im a mix of English/Dutch. Possible Irish, Scottish, Scandinavian on my English side. On standard/conservative setting i get unassigned for anythings that not European. I also don't get any thing but North European with the exception of .01% South European on speculative.

On Speculative i get 100%
On Standard i get 99.9%
On Conservative i get 99.1%

I have mailed my genome to Doug Mcdonald and submitted it to GEDMatch. How can you tell if it is a "clean bill of health"? I really want to be 100% white

It's quite common for people to be 100% European. All my family that have tested are 100% European. 23andMe looks at your ancestry for the last 500 years apparently.

You have a very un-Irish way of putting things.
