Pretty much the same way for all Uralic groups, except for Baltic Finnic (Finnish/Estonian).

Proto-Bulgarians (Volga Bulgars) were a federation of tribes that were an amalgamation of several different ethnic groups from across the Eurasian Steppe and North. A large majority were of undoubtedly Finnic and Ugric origin. Other groups included were Turkic (which is linguistically what ethnic group they all were) and Indo-European (assimilated Iranic peoples).

Seeing pics of Swedes and now Finns and being to both countries several times, I have gotten an opinion that there's no real difference between Swedes, Finns and Estonians. Quite logical, as Northern Europe is quite homogeneous.

I think there are definately differences, but these are more about different types occurring in different proportions, while the categories or types can be found in all countries.
