Okay I wanna do a little research and origin of my surename and I do not know where to begin. So any tips ? I tried googling the fuck out of it and it basically found Irish people, German people, Dutch people, Slovene people (ofc) etc with my surename, also I found a few theories on the origin of the name. So
anyway, where to start ? Do you have any sites you would recommend ?

when you searching origin of family name, you have to start from the base of your family name-for Slavics it is usually name of familly founder-and after is possible to find out or to follow areas of possible migration, especially if you are from exYU...

For example in Mne we have family of Scotish origins (a few centuries they live here, but the familly founder is from Scotland). But we are small and we usually know who are who and from which part their ancestors came. We also have German origins family names (German ancestors), Italian etc And their base of surname could show possible origins of surname.
