I just located my great great grandmother's obituary is says on there that she was born in Ratzenhagen, Germany. This place is probably somewhere in Pommern/Pomerania which is now part of Poland so the city of Ratzenhagen is probably known by a polish name. Her husband is probably from there also.
I would like to document their pedigree with the church records and determine whether or not they are of Aryan descent. Anyone familiar with Pomeranian territories that could help me find this place? I know there is a Ruetzenhagen in the district of Schlawe, maybe that is what the obituary is referring to. My great great grandmother was born around the year 1850, my great great grandfather in 1845, I need help locating their birth/baptismal records, the LDS church is usually helpful but they do not have vital records from that location.
