Japanese people are the best people on the earth, these people themselves have witnessed one of the worst crimes against humanity of all times, and as a result they have developed pacifist, humanitarian feelings. I admire them. I wish all peoples were like them, not just caring for nearby events but all over the world.

It's good to see. However, what I'd much rather see are my fellow Americans taking the same stand against the bullshit over in Israel… Maybe if enough of us spoke out our stupid government might stop bankrolling those assholes.

Hmm... No save the Yazidis in Iraq though. Or Muslims in Burma...or Christians in Sudan...

I will never understand the Palestine stuff (even though I do pity the Gazans and disagree with the Israelis)

On government level, maybe. Turkey and Israel had one of the greatest relations too.

Palestinian cause has somewhat been more popular or known to the outside world. It's more covered on the media.

I'd say that too, but some are concerned. Hopefully these protests are held more and more.

Why don't the Palestinians denounce their wealthy Arab leaders who are more interested in money and violence (the PLO, Hamas) and organize a grass-roots nonviolence and civil disobedience campaign? If the Palestinians had initiated such a thing, they could have secured a state a long time ago. There is a small non-violent movement that successfully pushed back the Israeli army.

On a side note: the Japanese people are a quite noble people. To make a nation without great resorces, which was hit by two a-bombs into one of the strongest economies in the world. When hit by a catastrophe they do not call for help, but when someone else is in problems they gladly help. By far my favourite asian nation.

Exactly, when Israel with drew completely from Gaza it was a test to see if they can handle a state. What do they do? Invest all their money and supplies into building tunnels, and start firing rockets. They cant handle a state. Especially with their current leadership.

Why does Japanese care?

I wouldn't see why not. It's a humanitarian thing to do. It's a world concern and issue.

These are just Japanese hippies and far-left. I promise Japanese are one of the most apolitical nations in the world.

Yea I guess they're affiliated with anti-nuclear pro-green left-wing organizations, but don't underestimate them.
