The 2014 Friendliest and Unfriendliest Cities in the World

This year’s list of friendliest (and unfriendliest) cities in the U.S. (http://www.cntraveler.com/daily-traveler/2014/08/friendliest-and-unfriendliest-cities-in-us), as chosen by our readers, boasted a lot of Southern hospitality and big-city chilliness, but what do you get when you widen the list to include the whole world?

The results may surprise you.

It's always hard to judge these things. Glasgows every bit as friendly as anywhere in the world.

I like how France makes up a large proportion. I heard they are extremely friendly if you make the effort to speak a little French.

It's always hard to judge these things.
It's not hard, it's cultural. It's obvious the Anglosphere is more welcoming to Americans than places like Cannes or Paris already choke-full of fat fucks in sandals and buses of chinks who can't utter a single word of French.
