"...The population of the United States has been characterized as a cultural melting pot, with over 500 ancestries reporting in the 2000 Census... We estimate the extent of population structure and proportions of multi-ethnic (African, European, Asian, and Native-American) paternal ancestry in all 38 populations... Samples for this study (Table 1) come from U.S. crime laboratories and have been described previously [12]. The population samples include individuals from five ethnic groups including: African–American (AA) (n = 651; 10 populations), European–American (EA) (n = 927; 10 populations), Hispanic-American (HA) (n = 479; 9 populations), Native-American (NA) (n = 398; 7 populations), and Asian–American (SA) (n = 62; 2 populations). " Fig. 1 depicts the evolutionary relationships among the 39 haplogroups found in our sample of 2517 individuals their frequencies in five U.S. ethnic groups. Haplogroups ranged in frequency from 0.04% to 37.8%. Only two haplogroups were present at a frequency greater than 10%, 13 were present at frequencies between 1 and 10%, and 24 were present at a frequency less than 1%. The most common haplogroup is R-M269 (37.8%), which is found in all of the ethnic groups. This haplogroup predominates in Western European populations [23]. EP1, the second most frequent haplogroup in the U.S. (17.7%), is the most common haplogroup in West African populations [24]. It is found at high frequencies in our AA samples, and at lower frequencies in HA samples from the Eastern U.S. (Fig. 1). Three haplogroups that originate in Northern and Western European populations include I-P30 (6.1%), the third most common haplogroup in our U.S. sample, I-P19 (2.8%) and I-P37 (1.6%). Haplogroups that likely originate in Eastern and Southern European populations are also present in our U.S. database, including RM17 (3.4%), E-M78 (2.4%), G-P15 (2.4%), and J-M172 (1.5%). The fourth and fifth most frequent haplogroups in our database, Q-P36 (5.9%) and Q-M3 (5.8%), along with C-P39 (1.5%), are founding Native-American Y chromosomes [30]. These haplogroups are frequent in our NA and HA samples, and are found at low frequency in our AA, EA, and SA samples. Asian-derived chromosomes, primarily in haplogroups O and N, are extremely rare in all but our SA sample "
African Americans ( AA ) includes only samples of African born American
Hispanic Americans ( HA ) includes both White Europeans and Meztizos
Asian American ( SA ) includes East Asians, Southeast Asian, Mongolians, Indian, Pakistani, Bengali ect
European American ( EA ) includes only White Americans of European descent, it doesn't include including Middle easterners, North Africans.
Native American ( NA ) Native Americans of north and mixed descendants

Y-DNA of different races
African Americans non African Y-DNA = 29.7% European , 0.3% East Asian , and O.2% Native American
Hispanic Americans non Hispanic Y-DNA = 80.5% European, 1.6% East Asian , 12.1% Native American, 6.8% African American
Asian American non Asian-American Y-DNA = 3.2 % European, 1.6% African American
European American non European Y-DNA = 0.5% East Asian , 0.9% Native American, 1.3% African American
Native American non Native American Y-DNA = 31.5% European , 1.6% African American

Hmmm.... it seems to me Europeans with African paternal DNA is either from Europeans with this little percentage or the result of African American men. And the 0.5% European Americans with East Asian paternal DNA obviously came from Cantonese men having sex with White American women during the 19th to 20th century. And Native American men married little of white American women
Americans men have 30% European paternal through white men mixing with black slave women dating back 16th - 17th century, and have 0.3% East Asian Y-DNA from Cantonese coolies ( another study of 199 shows 0.5% East Asian Y-DNA in African American ) dating 19th - 20th century.
Asian American with European and Black paternal DNA could have come from war brides of Vietnam, Japan . But I do not know..... since Indian American and Pakistani are included in the study. European Y-DNA in this study could mean north Indians aswell.

Haplogroup E-P1 is majority in Bantu Africa.
If it's in European it's either from Portugese men or from the African American men mixing with white women. It's true there is historical record of white women marrying black men even during slavery times but there.
Haplogroup R-M26 AND J-12, There is European men marrying war brides from some Asian countries
Haplogroup O-M95 ,O-M122, O-P31, O-MSY2b are all associated with East Asian and Southeast Asian population, especially from Southern China. Cantonese laborers having sexual intermarry with white women and giving birth, before American occupation.
Good study. Not so sure of interpretation. But what I'd like to show that it points out...Look at the Native American DNA. If you subtract the obvious C and Q they are known to belong to, they pretty much match perfectly with the English (plus a little bit of E from African American mixture)! No Solutrean DNA there folks.

Yeah, people say they have R1b and claim it's Soultrean that could have been spread by Spanish colonizers. Besides Malta boy who they claim is R1b was acknowledged to have Mongoloid features and he was only 1/3 western Eurasian and some replied claimed he wasn't the ancestors of Native American because his mtDNA was U instead of X.
Of the 31.5% European Y-DNA in Native American.... 8.1% are from haplogroup I, J, E1b1b, G
Native American is a small population though.

Malta boy is not R1b at all, rather almost an R3...derived a bit from R, but not in the ways of R1 or R2. He was probably not the direct ancestor of anybody. Also he is considered 100% (or at least undetectlably close) West EWurasian. 1His autosoamls score 1/3 European Hunter Gatherer, 1/3 ANI, and ther other 1/3 is a West Eurasian component in Native Americans, he shows no more affinity to Han than Papuan, rather eliminating the Mongoloid genetic sceanrio. I have yet to see the remains so I can't judge appearences.
EDIT: Sorry about typos, the lag of this site is too bad to correct them.

Others claim he was 1/3 Western Eurasian + 1/3 Native American + 1/3 South Asian.
How can someone be western Eurasian and still be of mongoloid appearance ? ( it is crazy and insane )
UPDATE:
From the Met:
The Mal'ta tradition is known from a vast area spanning west of Lake Baikal and the Yenisey River. The site of Mal'ta, for which the culture is named, is composed of a series of subterranean houses made of large animal bones and reindeer antler which had likely been covered with animal skins and sod to protect inhabitants from the severe, prevailing northerly winds. Among the artistic accomplishments evident at Mal'ta are remains of expertly carved bone, ivory, and antler objects. Figurines of birds and human females are the most commonly found items.
From a review article:
"
Debetz (1946) identified the remains of “nothern Asian Mongoloids” at the site of Afontova Gora 2; they included a fragment of the frontal bone. Mongoloid features had been originally acknowledged in the skeletal remains of a child found at the site of Malta. Alexeev (1998, 323) in his later publication was more cautious, stating that this area was “inhabited by a population of Mongoloid appearance.” UPDATE (Oct 26):
Michael Balter has an article on this topic in Science:
Yet the child's Y chromosome belongs to a genetic group called Y haplogroup R, and its mitochondrial DNA to a haplogroup U. Today, those haplogroups are found almost exclusively in people living in Europe and regions of Asia west of the Altai Mountains, which are near the borders of Russia, China, and Mongolia.
This suggests that the Mal'ta boy was not ancestral to Native Americans (since Native Americans don't possess Y-haplogroup R and mt-haplogroup U), although obviously is in some way related to them based on the autosomal evidence. It's hard to read between the lines, but I guess a paper in Nature will come out soon enough as it is currently "in press". "

"included a fragment of the frontal bone"....great diagnostic material there. What is this, phrenology? That and depending on who's criteria of Mongoloid you are following, simply having a flat face or big cheeks can make you Mongoloid.

Flat face and big cheeks don't make someone mongoloid. Although Finns have a lot of that and they do have 5.5% to 12% Mongoloid, especially in eastern Finns.
Malta boy is found next to the population where they had Mongoloid appearance and today this region and inhabited by people who look Mongoloid

So were the Tocharians.

Where's J1? That's not African in origin nor East Asian. It's West Eurasian. I guess I'd clump myself in with J2 since it's the closest one on there for European-Americans.
