Aristotle was 1/4 Scythian and he looks it.

Pericles looks more clear cut Stockholmer.

Pericles looks like a classic Med.

Aristotle looks unusually northern-like for greeks. The only one I can compare him to is Demosthenes.

50021

Demosthenes mother was also supposed to be Scythian. They certainly do look rugged. Then again if we post old greek men with beards you do notice a lot of resemblances so who knows.

Above the eyebrows, definetely.

Eyes, nose and cheeks clearly not.

In this one though he looks very greek. Reminds me a lot of my grandfather actually.

Well it' sculptures so it's hard to define.

Profile of Aristotle for better classification.

Some kind of generic Alpine range(pigmentation indifferent) I would presume but it's sculptures, generally speaking similar types in proximity exist in Greece.

Profile, yeah. Front of his face no.

Generally can't picture him anywhere. Probably some weird short of mix. Clearly not mediterannean or nordic in a big degree though.

The "Nordic" and the "Mediterannean" may not differ that much in statues which may spur even more confusion. There was that statue of the dying Gaul Hellenas used to define Northerners, ehm I can see it but not much.
What about Philip 2(reconstruction)?

Med with some form of alpine admixture I'd say. Can't see jaw so that complicates it a bit.

Eye and nose shape are very common in the balkans.

The cheeks and the forehead.

Look, Aristotle, especially the original bust posted, is very hard to pin down. The massive beards never help either.

In this bust, he reminds me of Elias Koteas.

Pericles is Nordoid/Mediterranoid and Aristotle is mostly Nordoid and probably with some minor Mediterranoid influence.

Another Aristotle bust by the same sculptor. Notice the alpine line receding hairline .

Edit: someone beat me to it. And yeah, it does look like Koteas.

Pericles: Pure Classic Mediterranean.

Aristotle: Looks Balkan Cromagnid. Possibly Aryan influence.
