Well he was born in Bosnia, but based on his first name I assumed he is a Croat rather than Bosniak.

I think he is Bosniak. There are Alens among Bosniaks and his surname is present mainly among Bosniaks. But I am not sure either, that is the reason why I am asking you.

Honestly, IMO, if I didn't know that Serbian players are Serbs, I would though they are Slovenian. They look Slovenian (especially Dragič brothers and Aleksej Nikolič).

Some of them have a more "Balkan" look but some don't. Some seem to almost have a Nordic/Baltic look, especially when I see Slovenian sports women.
