Louis Prima (December 7, 1910 – August 24, 1978) was an American singer, actor, songwriter, and trumpeter. Prima rode the musical trends of his time, starting with his seven-piece New Orleans style jazz band in the late 1920s, then leading a swing combo in the 1930s, a big band in the 1940s, a Vegas lounge act in the 1950s, and a pop-rock band in the 1960s.

Prima was from a musical family in New Orleans. His father, Anthony Prima, was the son of Leonardo Di Prima, a Sicilian immigrant from Salaparuta, while his mother, Angelina Caravella, had immigrated from Ustica as a baby.

Atlanto Med + Arabid

in the pic where he is older he looks "more" Sicilian (still on the exotic side) but on the younger ones he is extremely atypical ...I have never seen such an Italian/Sicilian in my life

you sure he doesnt have some other influence too ? it most certainly seems like it and I doubt he is pure italian descent

Both of his parents were born in Italy:

Just look at the names of his parents, Italian names. At that time, minorities were much rarer in Italy, so the odds are they were just regular Italians.
