His face is very flat, with few nuances. This implied an old continuity in this region. It should create a new classification basis for the Turkic people anyway. The old sources are to old and the term Turanid is too vague.

Turanid is an outdated term in most modern anthropological circles. Since a few decades the term "South Siberian Cromagnid" took the place of "Turanid". This South Siberian type was sometimes thought to have been existent in Eurasia since primeval times.
