Nice video, just saw it before checking this thread. I wonder if people have compared the mtDNA and Y DNA of Ashkenazim to Italkim, I'm starting to believe Italkim are relatively pure and unaltered Jews (and the same with Syrian Jews), as Syrian Jews are surely shifted slightly away from Europe as compared to the "original" Jews from admixture with Syrians, and Italkim would surely be shifted slightly toward Europe as compared to the originals too. The true Jews lie somewhere in between Italkim and Syrian Jews then, and Italkim and Syrian Jews have a massive genetic overlap anyway. I just can't see the original Jews being comparable to Lebanese autosomally.

Both would be mixed, I would have thought Samaritans would plot further away than Syrian Jews though, but I guess they'll have some overlap.

They are shifted towards Yemeni/Saudi etc. but only SLIGHTLY. Some PCAs you see out there are not accurate. I've seen actual results etc.
