You are citing pseudo-scientific Eupedia, I guess. This hypothesis is very unlikely, as there is a lack of H and V haplotypes among 95%+ paleolithic and mesolithic inhabitants of Europe tested so far.

Probably matters less nowadays as populations are less isolated, the only way to really know is (like you said) testing the paleolithic and mesolithic populations of Europe. My maternal and paternal sides lived far away from each other, also adding to the fact it means little. Not sure how Eupedia is pseudo-scientific though, they're not claiming that hypothesis as being absolute.
