You noticed my only 3 positives out of 15 included Kennedy. He was a good guy defeated by the booze.

Such a shame :(. He must have been so sad after losing his seat, went back to his weakness to help him deal with it. Always felt sad for those who don't get voted for, but try to tell myself they can deal with it and that they have thicker skin than I do. Then something like this happens. I know he had drink problems before, but the election result obviously made things worse.

He was drinking a while before losing the seat, at least March. Social media commented on him during Question Time, that his appearance and manner was concerning. Then his Dad died in April.

Though by March he already knew he was likely to lose his seat. His dad dying would have compounded things, as you say. All very sad.
