Three clips from a DVD that regards the so-called electric universe theory (plasma cosmology) and the theory that the ancient sky was much different than it is today. From this website: http://www.thunderbolts.info/ I first saw these last year and my view of the world hasn't been quite the same.

I plan to buy the DVD when I get a bit more money. I find the entire Saturn hypothesis to be extremely fascinating.

from the very beginning of the nets (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk.origins), this has been a most popular topic (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&rlz=1T4GZAZ_enUS281US281&q=Saturn+hypothesis+talk.origins&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=).

It's a topic that makes me want to learn more about science, actually. Standard cosmology has never really impressed or interested me, but the electric universe theory is an extraordinary concept to my mind. It might even offer a credible explanation for UFOs and such, plasma discharges and whatnot. I've seen some strange things before, once what I thought was ball lightning, once a will-of-the-wisp high in the night sky, and once what I can only call a burst or pulse of light that happened out of the clear blue, so to speak, in the dead of night when I was out for a walk. Creepy. I never got the impression that anything otherworldly was happening, just that I was witnessing unusual natural events.

I don't know much about Velikovsky (sp?), if that's who the guy in the picture is. I simply have the feeling that there are other fundamental forces at work in the universe besides gravitation, etc. This intriguing theory cuts through the standard-fare science that I largely have no interest in and makes me want to learn the basics that are appropriate for a scientific layman like myself.
