Pontian Greeks from 1900.. do they look Greek or Georgian?

Well it's rather hard to say, given the photos are in b/w. But probably Georgian.

Some look Turkish, some look Georgian, some look Greek. Most have their own look...

I don't even get it. Georgians aren't even as dark as the people Sikeliot posts.

They look obviously different. As for modern Pontic descendants. Sure, some look similar, but most do not. Sikeliot's though experiments are way off as usual, I believe.

Ok- I don't know if they are "darker". But the people in your photos of Pontians look different than Georgians (who btw I think are one of the most attractive people in the world). I mean, like, obviously different.

It might depend on the Georgian group. If you look up Laz and Mingrelians they look like that too. I.e.

that family is the most georgian looking comparing to others. that boy, mother and father looks exactly like a georgian. big ears on kids(i had big ears when i was a child too, everyone was calling me midas), noses like that, red beard, being hairy are typical georgian traits.

The people on photos look Greek, there is some Georgian influence but not very strong.
