- archemorph, primitive base, somewhat Australiform.
- basic Mongoloid, usually medium progressive, comparable to Eastsibirid in a way
- Europiform, probably even Europoid element, highly progressive

The Cherokee are heavily mixed, I believe some of them are even more European than Amerindian.

William Penn Adair looks fully European in my opinion.

Colonel William Penn Adair was the son of George Washington Adair and Martha "Patsy" Martin. Martha Martin was the daughter of Judge John Martin and a sister of Annie Martin-Thompson, wife of Benjamin Franklin Thompson. George Washington Adair was the son of Walter "Black Watt" Adair and Rachel Thompson the sister of Benjamin Franklin Thompson and second cousins of Henry Butt Thompson. William Adair rose to prominence during the Civil War as one of the primary officers of the Cherokee Mounted Rifles under Confederate General Stand Watie. After the death of Watie in 1871, Adair took over as the primary leader of the Texas Cherokees and Associate Bands, including the Mount Tabor Community along with Clement Neely Vann the son of David Vann. In 1871, Adair and Vann began a serious of lawsuits aimed at getting the 1.5 million acres guaranteed to the Cherokees and Choctaws by the Treaty of 1836 with the Republic of Texas. These suits eventually went before the United States Supreme Court in 1920, and the Indian Claims Commission in 1948. The State of Texas offered 15 million acres of Texas panhandle land to settle the suit, but Adair declined as his eyes were always on the Texas Cherokee lands in the Piney Woods. William Penn Adair died in Washington, D.C. on October 21, 1880 and was buried at Arlington National Cemetery.

The theory (Solutrean Hypothesis) that European people were the first on the continent (20,000 years ago) is actually gaining main stream acceptance. All kinds of interesting stuff from Conquistadors writing about White tribes in S. America to Leif Erikson. So while the honky trying to make a buck by impostoring an Injun has a lot of weight to it, the fact still remains that Whites and other groups were coming and going to the Americas from very early ancient time , so it’s not to much of a stretch to think that they left some or even a lot of blood behind.

Some North Europeans score a little East Asian on 23andMe. So it don't necessarily have to be Native American. Also some North Europeans can score from 1-4% Native American on various genetic calculators as well.

there appearance varies. the natives that i have seen are very red skinned and navajo tend to have chinky eyes.

On a side note I thought I'd tell you that apparently a branch of R1 is pretty much strictly Native American along with Haplogroup Q and C3. It is Haplogroup R1* (M137). Of course some of it is from Europeans being predominently R1b but some of it is just R1* (M137) which is also found in some specific populations of Central/Southern Siberia.

I have a very small percentage of Amerindian. My great great great great grandmother was a Cherokee. I feel that I look a lot more "Native American" than my 3rd great grandmother did. I have interior epicanthic folds, whereas she did not. How can that be since I am less than 1%?

Genes are funny things...I think the "one drop rule" is not very accurate in terms of explaining how genes really work. It's not really about dilution of the genes; it's more about which genes happened to express themselves outwardly in what generation.

In regards to "you stole our land," I would still say that saying is pretty ridiculous. We are all one people in the US. What mattered to our ancestors may or may not matter to us now. Times have changed, people and cultures have mingled, and supposedly we all have the same rights. Racism and stereotyping may prevent us from the American dream and buying our own land, but the bad economy makes land ownership difficult also. If it's not one thing, it's another.

For me, there is no reason why a person cannot be proud of a heritage, imaginary or real.
