Norid. Typical northerner.

Actually....his name most likely comes from Campania (interesting since we PMed about light Campanians a couple days ago).

I don't know Campania enough to be able to comment, but I know people from Salerno and whereabouts are not very different from Calabria, Sicily, and Greek islands.. HOWEVER inland Campania is by some accounts as light pigmented as northern Italy. So if his family is from that region, it's totally possible. Moreover I have not seen enough genetic results from different parts of Campania, I wouldn't be surprised if they plot all over the place.

Typical? Nordid types are a small minority in N. Italy.

I found this, Jeraci.

"Vincenzo “Vince” Grella, nato il 5 ottobre 1979 a Melbourne, č un centrocampista di origini italiane (i genitori sono nativi della Toscana e della provincia di Avellino) e pertanto comunitario. "

I guess his father is the one from Campania.

BTW Grella seems to be a Central-Southern Italian and not a Northern Italian.

OK. Of course you find Western and Northern Euro types in the central and southern regions as well.

He's blond but still has an "Italian" look, IMO.
