The most affordable city in the world for young people is … Paris?

For young people, the lure of living in Paris goes well beyond its legendary cafes and cultural offerings. Combining France’s minimum wage—generous by global standards—with prices for items that serve as something of a proxy for the lifestyle of urban youth, Paris ranked No. 1 in a new index measuring the affordability of 25 of the world’s cities from the perspective of young adults.

There is a difference between minimum wage and average wage. This only considers those at the bottom, it does not look at the median or mean. I doubt the average income in Paris or Rome is higher than in London, NYC or Toronto.

Lol... Yeah it's cheaper, if you live in the dirty suburbs with african and arabs immigrants. You just take the risk to be rape and kill everytime you come back home. And by home, i talk about an unsanitary slum.
If you want to live in a decent place, the price is not the same.

Paris might be a cheap city to live in or visit but there are tons of other places in Europe that are more affordable. If you're a tourist on a budget or someone who is interested in living in Europe then the best place to go is South Eastern Europe and the worst would be Scandinavia.
