I always say that if science ever proves even my strongest held opinions incorrect about my ethnicity, I will modify my own stance as the science disproves it. I notice a lot of people here seem unable to do this, and instead will deny the evidence right in their faces if they do not like it.

This doesn't make sense. Your ethnicity is your ethnicity, plain and simple. The only time I'd question it is if a study came out from a reputable labratory. Even Dodecad/Eurogenes is iffy at best. Sure it's accurate to an extent, but some results are totally off and/or fishy.

Peer-reviewed science today is quite difficult to refute. Unlike the quackery of the past, these journals are more easily accessible to the public and academia alike for scrutiny. But isn't 23andme the most important factor now?

Halph of my russian ancestors were noble and the other came from the litterate middle class.
I guess the probability that I am less ethnic russian than I think I am is high due to the fact a lot of non peasants ethnic russians intermarried with people of other European origin.
I have been thinking about this but I don't know ...
