Around 2000 Bulgarians are set to celebrate Saturday in Istanbul to mark the 150th anniversary of “Bulgarian Easter” which led to the restoration of an independent Bulgarian Orthodox Church.

After the Christian population of the bishoprics of Skopje and Ohrid voted in 1874 overwhelmingly in favour of joining the Exarchate (Skopje by 91%, Ohrid by 97%), the Bulgarian Exarchate became in control of the whole of Vardar and Pirin Macedonia. The Bulgarian Exarchate was partially represented in southern Macedonia and the Vilayet of Adrianople by vicars. Thus, the borders of the Exarchate included all Bulgarian districts in the Ottoman Empire.Oh my, what are "Macedonians" doing voting to join the Bulgarian exarchate? :D Well, this is only more proof that FYROM is founded upon lies, and that a majority of the indigenous population of Vardar has always been ethnic Bulgarians. Did you know that the Macedonian Orthodox Church isn't recognized by a single church out there? That's for a good reason.

The Archbishopric of Ohrid (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bulgarian_Archbishopric_of_Ohrid) (the name the FYROM Church (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macedonian_Orthodox_Church_%E2%80%93_Ohrid_Archbis hopric) uses today) has always been Bulgarian. In fact it existed as an entity up until the 1700s when the Greeks in Konstantinopol called for it to be dissolved (later restored in the 1800s).
