So the results from a paternal relative of my mother's male line (her brother actually) come back and ...

Well you be the judge, I never seen this before :

I've literally never seen this before. Ever. Why is it unclear and needs to be reviewed.

Maybe he's a previously undiscovered clade?

But they will still put you on a basic tree, the I tree, the R tree, the J tree, or the E tree. Right now he is on NO tree. It's like the undiscovered haplogroup is at a very fundamental base level.

I'm actually very scared what these results can be xD

Another oddity, he gets absolutely no matches on their tool. Not at 12 markers, not at 1, 2, 3 marker difference. WHAT THE HELL

Corruption in the DNA sample?

Corruption in the DNA sample?

I dunno, he has STRs, by themselves they mean little to me if they don't match anyone, or they cannot predict a base haplogroup.....

you can try a haplogroup predictor.Upload to ysearch you may find some matches there.

do you have his strs?If yes you can try a haplogroup predictor.Upload to ysearch you may find some matches there.

Yes, I will try this now, I also sent to Serbian geneticist to inspect this, so I'm waiting here.

Your tool is predicting within 95% he's R1b. I have no idea why ftDNA is having hard time. I will wait for analysis from Serb geneticist before final word on his haplogroup.

It was the same for me don't worry, they need to do a basic snps test since your uncle don't have any Y-dna cousin to make a good prediction ,your uncle would certainly come up R1b according to the y-tool you've used.

I see Serbs have about 5% R1b in the Poreklo. Which branch of R1b do usually Serbs have?

M269/L23 most of those Serbs seem to have origins from Herzegovina.

It's the lost connection between the metaphysical and humans. God is a Serb after all.
