Norway was neutral before the Germans invaded and many of my family members decided to collaborate with the occupires.
A relative of mine wrote many of the anthems for NS(Nasjonal Samling) and my grandmother was a member of the Hird, but one of my great grandfathers was luckily very anti-Nazi so my family were on both sides of the fence so to speak.

Nazism and Bolshevism is equally repulsive in my opinion neither excuses the other and both ideologies killed millions of people.



Many of the Norwegian resistance fighters who fought against Germany had also volunteered to fight in the winter war alongside the Finns against the Bolsheviks like Max Manus.

Well you should know that Norway(who were neutral) didn't have much choice in the matter since Germany attacked us first, maybe if England or the Russians had conquered Norway first and the Germans were the ones who fought to liberate Norway, then maybe the view of Germans would have been different.

I disagree with some of the artists political views but a lot of his work wich involves Norway have a clear geo-political message, anti EU stance and also reflects Norway is losing it's culture to mass industry, Americanization and capitalism.
