How come there isn't much interest in eye shapes?

I noticed that some kind of eye shapes are more common to some phenotypes.
But how come no anthropologist has taken a genuine interest in this?

Good point, this came up in Brynhild`s classification thread, where Aemma commented on her round eye shape. Hope someone can contribute to this. :)

Is there any specific differences between eye-shapes? Like, all eyeballs are completely round right? And then it's all about how the eyelids and stuff goes around the eye, and this can change from time to time.

Yeah I mean the skin and shape of the eyes.
My eye shape is almost like a half circle. My lower eyelid is almost straight! I've always wondered where this came from, the closet I've seen to it has been from ethnic Balts. And I do have some Baltid ancestors going back five generations.

Cool, I've learned something:) I'll check out how mine looks:)

Mine are pretty oval, where the centers are higher up then the outs, the lower eyelids goes a little down before they oddly twist a little upward on the outs. Upper eyelids is just as the top line of an long oval.

I have no idea if they're baltid, nordid or whatever.

My eyes are semi-hooded:
