The Hashmites have hired a warrior Jewish group from Yemen known as the Habbani along with Bedouins and Circassians. The Habbani Jews have strong elite status.

Sadly no, as this photo is old, but they seem Arabid and dark skinned. I am proud to be related to these noble people via my maternal line.

I agree they are the best example of the original Semities.

Wow, never near this. Did they all move to Israel or are any still in SA or Jordan?

They look very Arabid but with an Asiatic Alpinid element.

Most Saudi and Yemeni Jews moved to Israel. The Habbani Jews a group of Yemeni Jews moved to Jordan and kept being part of the military elite believe it or not. They were known and recruited for their warrior skills. They still exist today and form a part of Jordan's Jewish population, they tend to be endogamous.

That's amazing. I understood Jews couldn't be Jordanian citizens but I've also heard, paradoxically, Cohen isn't an uncommon name.
