Classify Cypriots (loads of pictures)

Players & personnel of the two big Limassol clubs in Cyprus. All are Cypriots. Classify them, and tell me as a group where you think they would pass/be typical?

They look a lot like Sicilians.. EXCEPT I see an Iranic influence in a few of them. In fact, I'd say I see more Iranid influence than Levantine.

You've shared this opinion before, and I actually would agree that more 'exotic' Cypriots in general would suit the either the Caucasus or have more of an Iranic influence than the Levant depending on the look.

Half of them are pan-Greek , the rest would pass as darker Southerners or Asia Minor Greeks. I don't see any Maronitid.

So you think they look less Levantine than Sicilians do?

I actually think it's possible, because I think these people look more Caucasus/Iranian like, and none look like Jews.

I think these lot are a fair representative of average Male Cypriots (the ones in my post), but you'd need to throw in a few more who have lighter hair & eye colours (like the coach, Cyprus is in the 20-49% of Light Eyes bracket http://westernparadigm.files.wordpress.com/2008/02/blue_eyes_map2.jpg?w=500) and also add a couple of full on Middle-Eastern types to get the full picture.

Overall, a Mediterranean people that do share a lot of ancestry with mainland Greeks, however tilt more Eastwards.

Some look pan-Southern Euro (especially Southeastern), a few look MENA, and I noticed one who could pass as British, French or Central Euro.

None IMHO look Levantine, if anything Sikeliot is spot on, they have an iranic influence rather than levantine

They all have black eyes/hair and quite a lot of them have Middle Eastern facial feautures.

I would guess them as Israelis.
