I don't think she is Slovenian. I've never heard of her before and her surname isn't Slovenian.
I think she might be Slovakian and they confused it with Slovenia again.

I thought her surname wasn't Slovenian, when it ended with ova. I suppose there is not much difference with Slovakian and Slovenes. Only separated by Austria. Slovenes do have a bit of German influence, maybe Slovaks too.
