That the Labour movement was so high-jacked, and allowed to be by the workers, has always amazed me. :(

Our most anti-English-national interests newspaper is the 'Guardian'. Half the reporters have foreign names. It is a direct descendant, however, of the 'Manchester Guardian' - a paper from the Nineteenth Century that fought for the interests of the working classes of that great city. I read some quotes in it from the 1830s about the threat even of cheap Irish labour, expressed in tones that would make the present reporters have heart-attacks.

Seems that Big Money soon neutralised any opposition to its schemes. :(
