Huge fan of Chinese cuisine; not only my choice of restaurant, but also directly or indirectly present in 75% of my cooking now; and of course Chinese genetics conspire in tandem with European ones to produce the world's best looking woman.

Let's not forget Chinese inventions! I hope that within 50 years China's wonderful aspects will be united with a South Korea like rise to democracy.

I'm pretty sure the current political system is a work in progress. There is no way that a future China with a wealthy and educated population (as all trends point towards) would tolerate the type of system it has today. I don't think China would ever be like a Western liberal democracy, but it'd eventually develop a system with rule of law and more democratic input.
