Italians: can Messi pass in Italy?

no, it's just my guess looking at his mother who looks mestiza 50% white. his father is 100% white based on his appearance.

She could be, but not because of Amerindian influence. I think she looks kind of Levantine but nothing non-Caucasoid. Some Mexicans look like that too.

He doesn't look all that off for an Italian, all though with the Amerindian element in mind you could see it in his phenotype while hyper focussing :p

I looked at other pictures of messi and his father and I've come to the conclusion that his father really looks more italian/ european than him. That is probably because the difference in their head shapes. Now I think messi does show some amerindian influence but it's small so he can pass in italy. I also noticed that for whatever reason when messi has short hair he looks more euro, when he was younger and had longer hair he looked more amerindian than now, but maybe that's just me.

For me he looks just Southern Italian/Sicilian. A little bit of native and Iberian is possible though.
