Starting from January 1, 2015 US citizens will be able to enter Armenia without a visa and stay up to 180 days. In return, Armenian citizens will much more easily be issued 10-year multi-visas. EU and CIS citizens can already visit Armenia visa free.

This all comes as Armenia prepares to enter the Eurasian Economic Union on January 1, 2015.

YEREVAN. – The citizens of Armenia will be able to make use of the United States (US) visa facilitation procedure, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian stated at Thursday’s Cabinet meeting.

In addition, Nalbandian informed that, as of January 1, 2015, the US citizens may visit Armenia without a visa for up to 180 days.

The respective agreements with the American side are reached as a result of the activities by the Armenian-American Intergovernmental Committee. Owing to these activities, the two parties are completing the process of visa liberalization.

According to these agreements, a free-entry procedure will be set up for the US citizens wishing to visit Armenia, and the latter’s citizens will be issued a 10-year multiple-entry visa to the United States.
