India's new Monster Rocket and Human Spaceflight experiment Dec 18 2014

India is all set to give NASA and SpaceX a run for their money.:thumb001:

India plans to send humans to space by end of this decade and to moon in the next decade.In view of that India has already started the pre-project activities and tests,the first one being testing the rocket and the crew module.

India will launch a crew module on Dec 18 on board it's heaviest rocket,the GSLV MK3 .The Unmanned Crew module named "CARE" or "Crew Module Reentry experiment" is 3.7 tonnes and 2.5 m tall & 3.5 m in diameter and can carry upto 3 people.

The primary objective of the mission is to test the atmospheric characteristics and stability of the rocket and reentry characteristics of the Crew module.
