I live in Swansea, my Dad works in Cardiff and I frequently visit Cardiff. Aberystwyth I've visited a few times and is a cool town. Welshpool I don't know at all. Btw, don't forget that the larger towns and cities have lots of English, Irish, Italians, Spaniards, Poles and smaller numbers of other ethnic groups. Therefore, not all the people you'll see in the places will be fully Welsh - far from it. Even so, you're right that Welsh people's darkness compared to other Brits is overrated - probably just like Sicilians' darkness compared to other Italians is overrated, for that matter.

Yes i liked Aberystwyth a lot. Well my girlfriend is Welsh and i met many of her friends who were Welsh as well. I was the only one with dark eyes and one of the few with dark hair

Passing and looking alike generally speaking are two different things. I agree. The overwhelming majority could pass, even some of the very British looking Keltic-Nordid/Brünn types and the darker Paleo-Atlantids as they found in Sweden(to a much lesser degree ofc) but they don't look typicall.
