Her Japanese name is Yoshiko Yamaguchi. She was a famous Chinese singer and actress in the 1930s to 1940s starring in Japanese propaganda movies. Her songs are still quite well know even today. She was actually born to Japanese parents but past herself off as Chinese and most people didn't know until she had to show her birth certificate to avoid persecution and possibly execution after the war. Past away a few months ago at the age of 94.
Reminded me of a Chinese actress that looked like her.
