They are from the Llanelli Scarlets, which is a team in a town near me.

Aled Davies

Anyone else?

Trun

Neither, but the darker guy has better chances of passing with the proper haircut.

What are your ethnic origins then?

Obviously the first one.

I am Germanic and Scandinavian that is from the US.... Look at my profile..

I played Rugby for years and 75% of my team were Brits... the Welshmen were the darkest haired.... obviously it is a small sample size, but again, you are asking opinion here...

More Portuguese people look like Aled Davies than Gareth Owen? Hmm, I take your word for it.

obviously the 2nd one

I was being sarcastic, I don't even get what the point of this thread is since the replies are so obvious.

Given that the two players are more-or-less at the opposite ends of the spectrum for native phenotypes from my country, I am interested to see which of the two would be more commonplace elsewhere in Europe.

Didn't you answer your own question when you said they stand on "opposite ends of the spectrum"?

Didn't you answer your own question when you said they stand on "opposite ends of the spectrum"?

No, because they are at opposite ends for Wales, but not necessarily in other parts of Europe, where it is likely that one would be somewhat more commonplace than the other.

Not exactly - the wording is quite different, if you read it carefully.

Both in equal measure. But they aren't very close.

How common are dark ethnic Russians then?

There is enough of them. Of course, they are not like Arabians or South Asians. Just brown eyes and dark hair. However, most Russians are not blond. Usually shades of brown.

A mix of both.

Yeah, types like Eremenko (Ерёменко/Yeryomenko) are atypical among ethnic Russians.

None of them can pass here. When it comes to pigmentation - both variants are equally atypical for Poland, the second due to his darker complexion.

Neither. Their features are atypical.

The second guy, but his haircut and style would look strange for a southern Italian.

Gareth Owen would be more common, but there are many Spaniards lighter than him, though not usually that pale as Aled Davies; besides that the facial traits of Aled Davies are too foreign for Iberia.

the first one would be very atypical in argenitna...more because of features than because of coloring (wich wouldnt be common either)
