Classify Italian-American boxer Rocky Marciano. Born Rocco Francis Marchegiano on September 1, 1923 in Brockton, Massachusetts, United State. His father was from Ripa Teatina, Abruzzo, while his mother was from San Bartolomeo in Galdo, Campania.

He was a great fighter. Rocky Marciano was a better defensive boxer than people give him credit for.

As far as classification, I hesitated to make a thread about him for a while because of all the damage his nose took in the ring but I think you can still get a good idea of what his "natural" look is from pictures.

well yes his defense is underrated but he didnt need much defense :D he was a pressure fighter with Iron chin and stone fists

his stamina was also incredible ..he used to jog/run like a maniac

True. Rocky Marciano also had great trainer in Charley Goldman, one of those tough old school Jews from Red Hook, Brooklyn.
