Inferno (http://www.inferno.fi/) is of course with no doubt the best metal mag around, but for those no-lifers out there who don't speak Finnish, Terrorizer (http://www.truecultheavymetal.com/forum/index.php) isn't bad choice. :p
Recently the magazine had a special Death Metal issue and of course listed the the 40 essential releases.

These types of lists of course will always provoke discussion and debate, which I guess is sort of the point. All in all I'd say that the list is a bit too predictable and conservative for my taste. And as lame and pigeonholing ultimately is, are Darkthrone, Nocturnus and Sepultura really DM?
#8 should be #1, btw.
